What are they doing with this storyline?
Is this an excuse for Stacy's whoreish behavior? This storyline should work since her mother is mentally challenged. Stacy's character has (however) been put over as strong and independent, too strong for this to ring true. Maybe the writers ran out of people for her to sleep with. At least they didn't make her a homosexual(really stretching it). How about this for a story........ A love triangle with Stacy, Sayeed and Amirah. Can you imagine the fire works and great fight scenes this would produce? Demure, classy Amirah and trendy, guttersnipe Stacy? Sayeed twisted about his commitment to his faith and his relationship with a non-believer. The contrasts between the characters would be enough to give us a whole season of action.

How 'bout a little character change for Ronnie?
I kinda like what's been done with Ronnie's storyline because it makes sense. She's completely tore up by her daughter's death. I feel, however that a vendetta against her father would have been the natural progression for these events. Ronnie(ice-cold, calculating but with glimpses of warmth.(in the appropriate situation) Very well matched with Archie. Instead of internalizing her pain and taking on an ultra-feminine personality,(scheming to have another baby) she should have one goal in mind...to destroy the person who maliciously robbed her of her daughter, and whose scheming causes everyone around him pain. Ronnie should show some physically uncontrolled moments such as beating the crap out of Archie. The camera should pan-out to show her kicking Archie as he lay on the ground curled in a fetal position.(a la Robert De Niro)
One of the kicks goes wild to the head and all goes dark....what a way to end an episode. Archie wakes up with amnesia. This again changes the balance of power. The Mitchell family is horrified by Ronnie's vicious attack and allows Archie back in the Vic where they care for his battered body.True to Mitchell form, no one talks to the "Old Bill". Archie seems to be a different person because of the amnesia...the perfect father, uncle, Grandfather, and yes...husband. He even fools Pat who originally thinks that he's faking. Yes Pat, he is faking and plotting to destroy you all.

Billy Mitchell, Underdog
Hey Readers,
Just once I would like something interesting to happen with Billy That doesn't involve him getting kicked out of his living space again. How about letting him inherit some money...bringing a new set of Mitchells to the Square. Even extended Mitchells. Billy has lot's of cash but Peggy and Phil are about to go under. The power of the Square is about to change. Peggy is humbled by financial debt and losing the Vic. She begs Billy for a home..he consents but she has to have the sofa. Billy buys the Vic...causing jealousy with Phil and animosity with Ian. Phil continues to undermine Billy...in such obvious ways that once again we're frustrated that Billy isn't smarter. Roxy and Ronnie weigh in and attempt to wrest power from Billy but he has Jay in his corner. He isn't Jase's son for nothing. Billy has to walk a fine line between being a good Dad and a semi-honest businessman.

What's Owen doing out of Jail?
This storyline sucks big time because it's so unrealistic. Libby would never have a loving relationship with a father who held her underwater until she could no longer breathe. This would be too traumatic for her to ever see him again. What makes more sense is for Owen to be repeatedly molested in prison, to to the point where he tries to take his own life. This gets him transferred to a Psychiatric Hospital where he has therapy. A sappy idealistic Therapist eventually contacts Denise to participate in Family Therapy which she eventually agrees to because of Libby. Owen eventually is released based on his successful therapy sessions. Unknown to everyone he is still mentally unstable and wants revenge for imagined wrongs. This time he targets Chelsea. We find out that Chelsea had been molested and physically abused by Owen in her childhood. She was always too scared to tell Denise because she kept letting him back into their lives. Libby doesn't want to believe that Owen is capable of this...killing her-yes, but molesting Chelsea-Big No! We begin to see why Chelsea can't maintain a relationship.... why she has self image issues which she cloaks in "bravado". Perhaps she should be in an abusive relationship with an older man. Having seen and been part of such abuse growing up would leave scars...this would manifest itself in some "Great Acting".
Who's Heather's baby's father?
Please Readers....
Wouldn't it make more sense for Phil Mitchell to be the baby's father? After all he is certainly not particular about who he sleeps with...(Shirley). Darren being the father makes no sense. It would have made more sense to have Libby become pregnant and have to face decisions affecting her future... her mother's disappointment... Chelsea's issues, as well as Patrick feeling the effects of being an absentee father himself. Waaayy more authentic issues. This story line makes no sense and almost seems like the writers were on vacation and a Temp took over the story.
As for Heather...her story line is forced, the birth ridiculous and pathetic...but not pathetic because this is her character...pathetic because all these great issues involving her character are wasted. A great storyline would be Heather winning a makeover... which would have to include a haircut and new clothes. The dog-ears are just too (I hate myself and want to die). Once she sees the new Heather she'll want a healthier lifestyle and gain confidence. She should go through a period where she belittles another pathetic person while trying out her new found popularity. There should be interest on Minty's part which would cause relationship problems for him but Heather would string him along for the ultimate revenge. Left at the alter.
