Peggy and Archie
Episode of 1/3/2010
Archie and Peggy are involved in a relationship again. I'll let your imagination take over so I won't vomit on my screen. They are trying to keep their relationship hush-hush. Pat figures it out and is horrified. Peggy seems to be enjoying the cloak and dagger. Why can't they find Peggy an attractive man for once? This storyline doesn't work for me because it doesn't make sense to the character. Eventually Peggy decides not to see Archie anymore but the predictable public argument happens which Janine overhears.

Ronnie and Owen? Nnnnooooooo
Episode dated 1/3/1010 America
Plumbing problem in the Vic...Owen just happens to have plumbing experience. What a great thing for Ronnie(LOL). The beer pumps are clogged, when Owen tries to fix them an accidental mis-hit with a hammer causes a beer eruption. He freaks out and needs to change his clothes. While upstairs... Ronnie's disparaging remarks soon turn to sympathy. Before we know it they're kissing and on their way to a physical encounter. It's implied in the episode that Ronnie will try the "hole in the condom" routine.
Roxie finds the toilet seat up in the upstairs bathroom and suggests to Peggy that someone had sex the night before. Peggy and Roxie suspect Ronnie. Owen shows up the next day asking for Ronnie, calling her his friend. Roxie puts 2 and 2 together. She calls Ronnie's phone fussing her out about Owen and Denise overhears. Denise and Ronnie have words and she realizes that she's jealous. (Let's stop for a minute and examine this latest development). Denise is jealous that the man who beat her until she looked like "Road-Kill" is seeing some other poor victim. The man who held her daughter under water until she stopped breathing. Does this storyline seem asinine to anyone else? Denise starts avoiding talk about her wedding, won't answer Lucas' calls. The storyline even has Patrick giving credence to these feelings. It's a good thing the acting is good .....this storyline would make me stop watching this ridiculous show.

Stacy Slater...Bipolar?
What are they doing with this storyline?
Is this an excuse for Stacy's whoreish behavior? This storyline should work since her mother is mentally challenged. Stacy's character has (however) been put over as strong and independent, too strong for this to ring true. Maybe the writers ran out of people for her to sleep with. At least they didn't make her a homosexual(really stretching it). How about this for a story........ A love triangle with Stacy, Sayeed and Amirah. Can you imagine the fire works and great fight scenes this would produce? Demure, classy Amirah and trendy, guttersnipe Stacy? Sayeed twisted about his commitment to his faith and his relationship with a non-believer. The contrasts between the characters would be enough to give us a whole season of action.

How 'bout a little character change for Ronnie?
I kinda like what's been done with Ronnie's storyline because it makes sense. She's completely tore up by her daughter's death. I feel, however that a vendetta against her father would have been the natural progression for these events. Ronnie(ice-cold, calculating but with glimpses of warmth.(in the appropriate situation) Very well matched with Archie. Instead of internalizing her pain and taking on an ultra-feminine personality,(scheming to have another baby) she should have one goal in mind...to destroy the person who maliciously robbed her of her daughter, and whose scheming causes everyone around him pain. Ronnie should show some physically uncontrolled moments such as beating the crap out of Archie. The camera should pan-out to show her kicking Archie as he lay on the ground curled in a fetal position.(a la Robert De Niro)
One of the kicks goes wild to the head and all goes dark....what a way to end an episode. Archie wakes up with amnesia. This again changes the balance of power. The Mitchell family is horrified by Ronnie's vicious attack and allows Archie back in the Vic where they care for his battered body.True to Mitchell form, no one talks to the "Old Bill". Archie seems to be a different person because of the amnesia...the perfect father, uncle, Grandfather, and yes...husband. He even fools Pat who originally thinks that he's faking. Yes Pat, he is faking and plotting to destroy you all.
